Pumpkin Patch

I took Mariah and Robbie to the pumpkin patch here in Turlock last week. It's the coolest place. It has a hay maze, tons of pumpkins ranging from tiny to huge, animals to pet, toys to play on, a koi pond, and a mini hay maze... Oh yeah, and the most amazing apple turnovers you've ever had. Yummmm... They loved it. We each got to pick out a pumpkin to take home and decorate, but Mariah ended up picking everyone's out because I was running all over trying to keep Robbie from getting lost.

Sequoias

Josh's parents came into town and we went over to the Sequoia National Park. It was amazing! Did you know that sequoias are the longest living organisms on the planet and are virtually indestructible? They need fire to germinate their seeds, and over the years have become fire resistant. The pictures just can't capture how great they really are, but I tried my best. The kids had a blast running all over seeing the sites and looking for animals. We spotted a black bear while we were driving through the park and saw a couple chipmunks while walking.

Hiking Girl

Josh actually got stuck in this tree!

Mariah and Robbie did so well considering we were in the car for almost two days straight driving to and from and all throughout the park. We did a couple day hikes and saw the largest sequoia in the world and a log cabin. We also saw a beautiful waterfall that my husband decided it would be fun to climb! Luckily he made it back down safely and was able to return home with us...

Can you see him? - He's the little spec on the left...

The Aftermath.

We all had a great time at Mariah's party. We had planned to have it outside at a nearby park, and it was really cold and windy that day. Everyone was bundled up and seemed to do okay considering the weather. Mariah (as usual) was oblivious to the temperature and refused to wear any sort of sweater. She did however swap out her princess shoes for boots to play on the toys. Lots of our family and friends came. Bob-o, Nona, Monica, Kaniesha and Seth, Papa, Aunt Tammy and cousins Jona, Allie and Layne came too! She had her little friends from church and her best friend Sidney from next door. She got lots of fun presents and had so much fun playing with everyone. Thanks to everyone that came and sent her cards and gifts. She's such a lucky girl!

Robbi'e 1st "Look"

This is my version of 'the look' - Mariah took this pic by the way...
He was being so crazy I decided to just eat him.

Robbie made his first "look" the other day. It's hilarious... Does anyone remember all of Mariah's 'looks'?? I remember we would say to her, "Mariah, do the look!" and she would make this funny face. The even funnier part is that "the look" would change over the months to these difference faces... Does anyone else's kids do this? Or just mine?

Trip to Utah

Mariah and cousin Luc
She thought he came just to see her.
Robbie relaxing with Bob-o.
Daniel, Kaniesha and Brandon being intellectual.Cousin Bryant and Mariah who also came just to see her...
Sarah, Mom, Leshelle and Brandilyn

We drove out to Utah with my family this past weekend to go to Conference. It was a LONG drive. Mariah went in Bob-0 and Nona's car and I'm told she was amazing which doesn't surprise me. She's really good in the car. Robbie was pretty good too, considering we were in the car more than 20 hours over the course of one weekend. Monica and Rashauna drove with us on the way there and Monica and Kaniesha came on the way back, so we had some Robbie helpers.

We got to see lots of family! Besides all of us (our family and my parents and their family) Daniel and Sarah (cousins) stayed in our townhouse with us and then Brandon, Bryant and the rest of the Steve Hoer family all came to visit a few times. We had a great time and it was so nice to see everybody! Miss you guys...
